We’re thrilled to share some exciting news: Tripledot Studios is growing up! Today we’re announcing our agreement to welcome ten fantastic mobile game studios—and their amazing teams—into the Tripledot family by acquiring AppLovin’s games portfolio for approximately $800 million.

This milestone isn’t just about numbers (though we love numbers and are data nerds): it’s about bringing together some of the most creative, passionate game-makers on the planet and giving them the freedom, tools and scale to delight millions of players everywhere.

Why this matters

  • Diversification & shared know‑how
Post closing, no single game at Tripledot will account for more than 10% of our total net revenue, and by joining forces with these ten studios we’re becoming even stronger across both in‑app purchase and ad‑based models. That means more game types, more global audiences, and a richer exchange of marketing, product, AI and monetisation expertise.
  • Global talent, local teams
Between us, we’ll now have over  2,500 team members spread across 23 cities, from London and Barcelona to Jakarta and Melbourne—and a host of new hubs in North America, Europe and Asia. We can’t wait to learn from each other, cross‑pollinate our best ideas and build games that feel right at home wherever you play them.
  • Instant scale
Once the deal closes (expected early summer 2025, pending approvals), Tripledot will be one of the top five independent mobile game studios by revenue, serving 25 million daily active users and generating nearly $2 billion annually. More players, more data, more fuel for our AI‑driven insights and smarter, more engaging game experiences.

“Creating and operating games is our passion,” says our CEO and co‑founder, Lior Shiff.  “This acquisition takes us from challenger to global leader—it gives us scale, diversification and access to the best talent in the world. We’re beyond excited to welcome these incredible teams to Tripledot.”
