WOODOKU TOURNAMENT
SKILL CONTEST – OFFICIAL RULES
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT IMPROVE YOUR ABILITY IN THIS SKILL-BASED CONTEST. CONTEST VALID ONLY IN THE UNITED KINGDOM (UK). VOID OUTSIDE THE UK, AND WHERE PROHIBITED.
OVERVIEW: The Tripledot Woodoku Tournament (the “Contest”) is a fun way for players to test their skill and seek to complete a series of levels in a special journey (the “Event”) in the popular Woodoku game in the shortest elapsed amount of playing time to try to win the grand prize vehicle described in rule 3 below.
1. Eligibility: The Contest is open only to legal residents of the UK, 18 years of age or older, who are physically present in the UK. Employees and their immediate families (parent, child, spouse, sibling) and household members of employees, officers, directors, agents or members (whether related or not) of Tripledot Studios Limited, 201 Haverstock Hill, London, United Kingdom, NW3 4QG (“Sponsor,” “we” or “us”), its affiliated, parent and subsidiary companies, advertising and promotion agencies and anyone involved in this Contest’s production, development or handling (collectively, along with Sponsor, “Contest Entities”) are not eligible. This Contest is subject to all federal, state and local laws and regulations. Void outside the UK, and where restricted or prohibited by law.
2. How to Compete: The Contest will occur between 10:00:01 a.m. GMT on Tuesday 22ndOctober, 2024 through 09:59:59 a.m. GMT on Friday 25th October, 2024 (the “Contest Period”). To compete, play Woodoku during the Contest Period via the free Woodoku app available through the App Store and Google Play. There is no charge to download the app or to play. To achieve a valid official Event-completion time in the Contest (a “Time”), you must do the following:
Your Time will be based on the total elapsed time you take to complete the entire Event as outlined above, excluding any time when you log off from the game and return to continue to play in the Event. In other words, you can begin to play, pause/log-off, and then resume the Event, and your cumulative Time will be only the time that you actually spent logged in to play in the Event. Sponsor’s database computer is the official timekeeping device for the Contest. No other timekeeping system or device will be considered in determining a contestant’s Time. You can only attempt the Event one time, and your first completion Time is the only one that counts. Any attempt to compete more than once, whether by use of multiple names, email addresses, accounts, or any other means, is grounds for disqualification.
Time to complete the Event will depend on the skill of participants, and may vary significantly. The estimated minimum Time to complete the Event will be in the range of approximately 1–2 hours.
By entering, you agree to be bound by these Official Rules and all decisions of the Contest judges. Each potential prize winner (his/her parent/legal guardian if a resident of a jurisdiction that deems him/her to be a minor) may be required to sign and return, within two (2) days after delivery to his/her address, a Declaration of Compliance with these Official Rules, a Prize Release and a Publicity Release (where legal) for use of his/her name, likeness, and biographical information without further notice or compensation unless prohibited by law. Failure to sign and return these forms within the designated time period may, at the sole discretion of Sponsor, result in forfeiture of prize and selection of an alternate potential winner. You are not a winner until you receive official notification as described above. Contestants agree that their names as submitted for play in the game may be posted online and via mobile access as part of rankings in the Contest.
Winner will be responsible for any and all taxes resulting from acceptance of the prize and all expenses not expressly listed above, and cannot assign or transfer the prize to another person. If the prize cannot be awarded due to circumstances beyond the control of Sponsor, a substitute prize of equal or greater retail value may be awarded.
7. General Conditions: Contest is subject to these Official Rules and all laws (collectively, “Rules and Laws”). By participating, you agree to be bound by the Rules and Laws and, to the extent allowed by applicable law, to release, discharge and hold harmless Contest Entities from all claims or damages arising out of your participation in this Contest and/or acceptance, ownership or use of the prize or prize related activity. Contest Entities do not provide any implied or express warranty, guarantee or representation, in law or equity, pertaining to any third-party product or service supplied in whole or in part as a prize for this Contest. Notwithstanding the foregoing, nothing in these Official Rules limits or excludes the liability of the Sponsor for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the Sponsor or for damage directly caused by gross negligence or willful misconduct of Sponsor.
If for any reason any electronic portion of the Contest is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or other causes which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Contest, Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion and to the extent allowed by applicable Law, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Contest, to disqualify any individual who tampers with any aspect of the Contest, and to award the prizes among eligible contestants’ Times not affected by the problem or in any other manner that is fair and equitable in Sponsor’s reasonable discretion.
Any person attempting to defraud or tamper with this Contest may be subject to prosecution and is not eligible for the prize. Without limiting the foregoing, any attempt to complete the levels of the Event in the Contest using machine assistance, artificial intelligence, or other non-human means is grounds for disqualification; completion of any level(s) in substantially fewer moves/clears than Sponsor’s database computer determines to be reasonably possible for a human player will be considered evidence of cheating and grounds for investigation and possible disqualification.
No sharing of accounts, email addresses or mobile phone numbers is allowed. To the extent allowed by applicable Law, no responsibility or liability is assumed by Contest Entities (including, but not limited to, liability for any property loss, damage, personal injury or death) in connection with participation in this Contest, for any human error, for acceptance/possession, use/misuse of the prize awarded, for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communication network failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of game-play information or Times; or any problems or technical malfunctions of any wireless or wired telephone network, computer online systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software; or failure of any game-play information or Time to be received on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on any telephone or internet connection, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to your or any other person’s computer or mobile phone related to or resulting from participation in or downloading any materials from this Contest.
To the extent allowed by applicable Law, no responsibility is assumed by Contest Entities for game plays that are made by other than human means (such as by an automated computer program or any non-human mechanism, entity, or device), or for submissions or game plays that are late, garbled, tampered with, forged, incomplete, misdirected, lost, misplaced, stolen, destroyed, or otherwise not in compliance with these Official Rules and such submissions or game plays will be disqualified.
8. Disputes. To the extent allowed by applicable law, any disputes relating the Contest are governed by the arbitration provisions in the Tripledot Terms of Service applicable to playing Woodoku and that are accepted by anyone who accesses and plays Woodoku. Without limiting the foregoing, each contestant agrees, to the extent allowed by applicable Law, that: (a) any and all disputes, claims, and causes of action arising out of or in connection with the Contest, or any prize awarded, shall be resolved individually without resort to any form of class action; (b) any claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering the Contest, but in no event attorney’s fees; (c) under no circumstances will any contestant be permitted to obtain any award for, and entrant hereby waive all rights to claim, punitive, incidental or consequential damages and any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased and any other damages, other than damages for actual out-of-pocket expenses; (d) these Official Rules and all disputes shall be governed by the internal laws of England and Wales, without regard to principles of conflicts of laws; and (e) if, and only if, a court rules that the above-referenced arbitration provisions do not apply, any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the courts located in London, England, and you expressly consent to the jurisdiction of said courts and waive any objection thereto.
